Producing evidence
We produce evidence for pressing decisions in health or healthcare using qualitative and quantitative scientific methods, especially during disruptions or crises situations requiring the best available evidence to inform decision-making and practice in a timely manner. We do this by means of rapid situational assessments, health impact assessments, or health-system impact assessments. We also support short- and long-term efforts for health monitoring and evaluation.
Synthesizing evidence
We summarize existing scientific evidence upon demand to inform decision-making. Our portfolio comprises rapid reviews, systematic reviews, scoping reviews, evidence gap-maps, as well as qualitative synthesis and meta-analyses. As collaborators of the Rapid Review Response Unit (RRR.Un), our network spans a broad network of experts who form the backbone of our review teams.
Transfering evidence
We offer tailored training and capacity-building activities to enhance evidence-informed decision making for practitioners or high-level policy makers. Additionally, we implement solutions and technologies into real-world contexts, thereby fostering uptake of evidence-informed tools, methods, and approaches into daily routines. As a catalyst we function for pro-active science communication and outreach activities to ensure that scientific excellence and insights unfold social impact.
