Data protection on this website

What is personal data?

Personal data includes all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. The decisive factor is whether the collected data can be linked to an individual. This includes information such as your name, address, telephone number, and email address. Information that cannot be directly associated with your actual identity—such as preferred websites or the number of users visiting a page—is not considered personal data.

How do we collect and process your data?

When you visit our website, our web servers automatically store connection data of the requesting computer, the websites you visit on our platform, the date and duration of your visit, the identification data of the browser and operating system type used, as well as the website from which you accessed our site.

How do we use and share your data?

If our website offers the possibility to enter personal or business data (such as email addresses, names, addresses), this is done voluntarily by the user. Emails are transmitted via a contact form. If you send us such a message, your personal data will only be collected to the extent necessary to respond. Emails are transmitted unencrypted.
The personal data you provide is used exclusively for the technical administration of the website and to fulfill your requests and requirements, usually to process a contract or respond to your inquiry.
We will only use this data for product-related surveys, marketing purposes, and statistical evaluations if you have given prior consent or, where legally required, if you have not objected.
Your personal data will not be transferred, sold, or otherwise transmitted to third parties unless this is necessary for contract execution or if you have explicitly consented. Any given consent can be revoked at any time with future effect.

How long is your data stored?

As a rule, we store all information you provide until the respective purpose (e.g., contractual fulfillment) is completed. For instance, inquiries are stored until they are processed, and newsletters are stored until you unsubscribe. If a longer retention period is legally required, the storage will comply with these regulations.
If you no longer wish for us to use your data, we will delete it immediately upon request (please contact the address provided under “Contact”).

When will your data be deleted?

Stored personal data will be deleted when:
• You revoke your consent to storage.
• Knowledge of the data is no longer required for the purpose it was stored for.
• Storage is otherwise legally impermissible.
Data necessary for billing and accounting purposes is not affected by a deletion request.

Use of cookies

We use:

  • Session cookies, which are temporarily stored only for the duration of your visit to our website.
  • Permanent cookies, which record information about visitors who repeatedly access our site. Their purpose is to optimize user navigation and recognize users to provide a varied website experience with new content.

The content of a permanent cookie is limited to an identification number. Names, IP addresses, etc., are not stored. No individual profiling of your usage behavior takes place.

You can also use our services without cookies. Most browsers allow you to disable cookie storage, limit it to certain websites, or notify you when a cookie is sent. However, please note that disabling cookies may result in restricted display and functionality of the website.

Cookies necessary for electronic communication or for providing requested functions (e.g., shopping cart function) are stored based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for technically flawless and optimized service provision. Other cookies (e.g., those analyzing your browsing behavior) are covered separately in this privacy policy.

Web Analytics with Matomo (No Cookies Used)

This website uses Matomo, an open-source web analytics software, to statistically evaluate visitor traffic. The analysis is carried out completely without the use of cookies. IP addresses are anonymized before being stored, ensuring that no personal identification is possible. Data processing is based on our legitimate interest in optimizing our website in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. As all data is processed exclusively on our own servers and not shared with any third parties, the highest level of protection for your personal data is ensured.

How do we ensure secure data processing?

Our company takes all necessary technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from loss and misuse. Your data is stored in a secure operating environment that is not accessible to the public.

In certain cases, personal data is encrypted during transmission using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This means that communication between your computer and our servers is encrypted using an accepted encryption method, provided your browser supports SSL.

Legal basis for data processing

  • If we obtain your consent for processing personal data, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
  • If processing is necessary for contract fulfillment, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR applies. This also includes pre-contractual measures.
  • If processing is required to fulfill a legal obligation, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
  • If processing is necessary to protect vital interests of the data subject or another person, Art. 6(1)(d) GDPR applies.
  • If processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of our company or a third party and these interests outweigh the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR serves as the legal basis. Legitimate interests include ensuring website operation and security, analyzing website usage, and improving usability.
